Popular art workshop at Piatra Neamt-Romania

A group of young students from Technical College Gheorghe Cartianu in Piatra Neamt participated Saturday  3 March 2011 to a workshop of conservation of popular mask and costumes belonging to the folk art group Toporasul .
The workshop was organized by Association for science , Culture Youth and Social Integration as an extracurricular activity in Technical College Gheorghe Cartianu from Piatra Neamt-Romania .

Aims :
-To preserve popular art works
-To activate the students for participation in new extracurricular activities and to learn new hobbies
-To integrate students from disadvantaged groups in a new social group .
Results :
An exhibition with popular art works and costumes was realized in a dedicated room in the space of Gheorghe Cartianu Technical College .
A new team of students passionated of popular art was created .

Christmas Decorations Making Workshop at Shipcon Limassol Ltd.

  On the 17^th of December 2011, a group of adult learners gathered to enjoy each other’s company, listen to Christmas carols and give vent to their creativity during Christmas Decorations Making Workshop

  As learners of different nationalities (Cyprus, Poland, UK, Ireland, Germany) participated in the workshop, it was a great occasion to get to know more about various European traditions of celebrating Christmas.

 

During the workshop easily accessible materials such as colour paper, paint, fabric, ribbons and glitter were used. 

  After the workshop the participants reported that they enjoyed sharing experiences, felt inspired to bring more creativity to their lives, became more interested in other European cultures and last but not least they had great fun.

Chess as an integrating factor

Saturday , 4 February 2012 , in the library of Gheorghe Asachi College from Piatra Neamt took place a chess contest between high-school students and adults .
At the contest participated 12 students from Gheorghe Asachi High School and 2 adults , professional chess players from ASCETIS Association .

The contest was co-organized by ASCETIS Association and the Students Counsel from   "Gheorghe Asachi" College.
The aim of the event was to mobilize high-school students to participate in extracurricular activities and to socialize between them and with adults from their families by practicing sports .
As a result we cam mention that a new working group for extracurricular activities , social integration and adult education was created in "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical College with the support of ASCETIS Asssociation and  the Students Counsel from this college . 

Jewelery with wooden elements -workshop at Vesuvio in Poland

On the 27 January 2012 the learners of Vesuvio Associations in Poland participated in handmade jewellery workshop.

  The aim of the workshop was to present this hobby of one of the  participants and learn/teach  the technique of work and design jewelery using wooden elements.

 Learners acquired the way of joining the elements and composed many pieces of beads and bracelets. The activity covered didactic approaches and brought joy and happiness among learners and staff.  

Local workshop in Piatra Neamt Romania -"MACRAME AS AN INTEGRATING FACTOR "

On 21 January 2011 the project management team from Romania organized an workshop for the families in the neighborhood Maratei from Piatra Neamt .

At the workshop participated 10 ladies and 3 girls from 7 families .

The purpose of this local meeting was to use the Internet and the ICT skills acquired by our learners during the project  for promotion of the works created at home by the participating women and girls and to use this occasion to learn new techniques from each other .

The meeting was a good opportunity for the housekeepers to show their talents and to fill good and appreciated for their work

The project coordinator , ms Eleonora Budur demonstrated a very old technique of knotting to obtain a special kind of macrame

We created a family learning atmosphere in order to let the kids to learn from their mothers and from the  talented and skilled older ladies and to appreciate the role of hobbies as integrating factors in the society .

To resume , the specific objectives ob the meeting were :
-Implementing “homework“ tasks
-Add new ideas to the project e-book  “Intercultural space: I watch, learn and teach”.
-Encourage the learners to use their ICT skills for promotion of hand made  creations and homeworks on the Internet .

Results :
-Family and intergenerational learning , good practices and ideas exchange between families ;
-New products added to the "Watch , Learn and Teach" exhibition ;
